New here? Four simple steps

Getting started

You do not need to be technical. Sign in, upload the resume you already have, paste a job posting, and download a version written for that job. Save it to track status, keep people and companies in Network CRM, journal the search, and find career events near you. After you sign in, a Getting Started guide walks you through the same steps on the screen.

  1. 1

Use the account you were invited with. After you sign in, a Getting Started walkthrough can guide you.

  2. 2

    Upload your resume

Add the PDF or Word file you already use. You can try a sample file first if you are not ready.

  3. 3

    Paste a job posting

Type the company and job title, then paste the full listing. Click Tailor My Application.

  4. 4

    Download, save, and track

Get a resume, cover letter, and recruiter emails written for that job. Pin it so you can track status and keep the company in Network CRM.

Stop rewriting from scratch for every posting

For job seekers

A strong resume still gets filtered when it is not written for that job. Most people copy the same file to every posting, cover letters sound generic, and interview prep is disconnected from what they just submitted. Open Door AI does the tailoring for you — and stays truthful to experience you already have.

The problem

  • One master resume rarely matches a specific posting’s keywords, seniority signals, and responsibilities.
  • Applicant tracking systems score keyword overlap; a strong but generic resume still gets filtered.
  • Cover letters, recruiter emails, and interview answers drift from the resume the candidate actually submitted.
  • AI rewrite tools often add technologies, metrics, and job titles the person never had — a liability in interviews.

What the software does

  • Upload a master resume once (PDF or DOCX). Keep up to five versions for different career tracks.
  • Paste a job description. The software analyzes the role, then rewrites only from truthful source material.
  • Results include a tailored resume, cover letter, Reach Out and Follow-Up emails, ATS scores, missing keywords, and “why this changed.”
  • An interview coach drafts answers from the tailored resume and job analysis — not generic advice.
  • Pin Saved Work to track Applied On, job source, status, and notes. The same save creates or updates the company and job in Network CRM.
1

Truthful

Prompts forbid invented employers, titles, technologies, accomplishments, and metrics. Missing skills are flagged, not fabricated.

2

Job-specific

Summary, skills order, and experience bullets are reordered and rephrased for the posting while keeping the master’s coverage.

3

Grounded

Cover letter, Reach Out and Follow-Up emails, change log, ATS notes, and coach answers all use the same job analysis and tailored resume.

What you get in Open Door AI

Features

Master resume library

Upload and replace PDF or DOCX files. Text is extracted once, structured, and stored privately. Up to five masters per account.

Job-aware tailoring

Rewrites summary and skills for the role, reorders bullets by relevance, and preserves employers, dates, and essentially all substantive content.

ATS match analysis

Overall, technical, responsibility, and keyword scores. Missing keywords are called out as “do not add unless you have this experience.”

Skill enrichment

Candidates can confirm a missing keyword and attach it to a real employer, then re-tailor so the skill is woven in truthfully.

Cover letter + change log

A letter tied to 2–3 specific resume-to-job connections, plus original → tailored diffs with reasons so the rewrite is inspectable.

Reach Out and Follow-Up

Short recruiter emails tailored to your resume and this job, in Standard, Friendly, Casual, and Professional tones. Copy to send, then follow up once if you have not heard back.

Interview coach

Paste-ready interview answers grounded in the tailored resume. Optional character limits, stand-out tips, and saved chat history.

Save, track, and Network CRM

Save up to 500 applications. After you pin, Application Tracking appears for Applied On, job source, status, and notes. That save also adds the company and job to Network CRM without duplicates, and CRM edits sync back.

Network CRM

Keep recruiters, referrals, companies, applications, and interactions in a mini CRM. Open it from the address book on a new application. Use it for networking even before you tailor a resume.

Career events

Above the LinkedIn icon, tap Events. Choose a master resume, then search this month through the next three months for nearby meetups, conferences, and networking — ranked by how well they match that career. Past dates are hidden.

Job-search journal

Below Network CRM, keep a journal of the search or save reusable notes such as a rejection reply or a referral ask. On a Journey, generate 3 LinkedIn posts and view them later — they are saved with that entry.

Application calendar

Below Journal on a new application, tap Calendar. It shows Applied On from Application Tracking plus Network CRM dates such as last contact, follow-ups, and interactions. Open a day to add it to Calendar or Google Calendar.

LinkedIn profile rewrite

On a new application, the LinkedIn icon uses your master resume to draft a headline, About, skills, and experience highlights you can copy into LinkedIn.

Account and polish

Profile and contact overrides, About Me, additional skills, Classic / Compact / Modern templates, dark mode, and admin system tools.

Common questions

FAQ

Straight answers about truthfulness, ATS, your files, and who sees your resume — so you can use Open Door AI with confidence.

01What is Open Door AI?

Open Door AI is software for AI resume and cover letter tailoring. Upload the resume you already have, paste a job posting, and get a job-specific resume, cover letter, Reach Out and Follow-Up emails, ATS match analysis, and interview coach. Pin Saved Work to track each job, keep a Network CRM, journal the search, find career events, and rewrite your LinkedIn profile.

02Does it invent jobs or skills?

No. Rewrites stay truthful to your master resume and profile. We do not invent employers, titles, tools, or metrics. Missing keywords are flagged so you can confirm them only if you already have the experience. Nothing is sent to an employer.

03Who sees my resume?

Your files stay in your account. We do not sell personal information and we do not send your resume to employers. To generate drafts, we send the text those features need to OpenAI. You review, download, and decide what to submit.

04Will a tailored resume work with applicant tracking systems?

Each tailor includes overall, technical, responsibility, and keyword scores against the posting you pasted. Missing keywords are called out as “do not add unless you have this experience,” instead of stuffing skills you never used. ATS systems vary, so scores are a guide — not a guarantee that a listing will rank you first.

05Do I still review the resume before I apply?

Yes. You stay in control. Each tailor includes a change log (original → tailored, with reasons) plus ATS notes. Download PDF or Word, edit if you want, and you send the application. We never submit anything for you. Drafts can still contain mistakes, so read them before you use them.

06What if the job lists a skill that is not on my resume?

Missing keywords are listed so you can see the gap. If you already used that skill at a real employer, you can confirm it, attach it to that job, and re-tailor so it is woven in truthfully. If you do not have it, leave it off.

07What files can I upload and download?

Upload a PDF or Word (.docx) master resume. Keep up to five masters for different career tracks. After tailoring, download a job-specific resume and cover letter as PDF or Word.

08How do I start?

Sign in, fill in your account and profile, upload a PDF or Word resume, paste the job, then click Tailor My Application. Download PDF or Word when you are done. Pin the application to track it; the address book on a new application opens Network CRM.

09How do I track jobs and contacts?

Pin Saved Work on the right. Application Tracking then appears so you can set Applied On, where you found the job, status, and notes. That save also creates or updates the company and job in Network CRM. Open Network CRM from the address book on a new application to add people, companies, applications, and interactions. Journal, below Network CRM, is for the story of the search and reusable notes. On a Journey, generate 3 LinkedIn posts; they are saved with that entry. Calendar, below Journal, shows Applied On and CRM dates so you can add them to Calendar or Google Calendar. Events, above LinkedIn on the left, finds career meetups and conferences near you.

10Is signup a monthly subscription?

No. Paid signup is a one-time contribution processed by Stripe, not a recurring plan. Referral codes, when offered, may skip payment. Card numbers are handled by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.

11Will this guarantee interviews or a job?

Open Door AI helps you write a truthful, job-specific package and keep the search organized. No software can guarantee interviews, offers, or ATS scores. Hiring still depends on the role, the employer, and what you submit.

12How can I contact Open Door AI?
