Who we are

Open Door AI is a web app at https://opendoorai.app. It helps you tailor resumes and cover letters, check ATS match, write outreach emails, track applications, keep a Network CRM, journal your search, find career events, and rewrite a LinkedIn profile. Information we collect

We collect what you give us to run an account and generate application materials:

• Account information, including email and a password stored by our auth provider (we do not keep your password in plain text).
• Profile details you enter, such as name and location (city, state, and related address fields).
• Master resumes you upload (PDF or Word) and the text we extract from them.
• Job details you paste or type: company name, job title, job description, comments, and special requests.
• Saved applications, tracking fields (such as Applied On and status), Network CRM records you add, journal entries, interview coach chats, and LinkedIn rewrite text.
• Feedback you send through the in-app form.
• Signup payment details handled by Stripe, such as email and amount. Stripe processes card numbers; we do not store full card numbers.

How we use it

We use this information to operate Open Door AI: create your account, generate tailored resumes, cover letters, outreach emails, ATS analysis, interview answers, LinkedIn suggestions, and related features; save your work; run Application Tracking, Network CRM, Journal, Calendar, and Events; process signup payments; and reply when you contact us.

AI processing

To generate results, we send the text those features need — typically resume content, job posting text, profile details, and your instructions — to OpenAI. OpenAI processes that content under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not use your resumes or job data to train our own models. We cannot control OpenAI’s systems, and we do not claim that AI processing is private in the same way a document that never leaves your device would be.

Where we store it

Account data, saved applications, CRM records, journal entries, and uploaded resume files are stored with Supabase (hosted Postgres and private file storage). The website and API are hosted on Railway. Our backend uses that stored data to generate outputs when you ask for them.

Third parties

These providers process information so the product can run:

• Supabase

  Authentication, database, file storage, and account emails (verify, invite, password reset).

• OpenAI

  Generates tailored resumes, cover letters, ATS analysis, emails, coach answers, and related text.

• Stripe

  Processes paid signup checkout. We do not store full card numbers.

• Railway

  Hosts the web app and API.

Career event search looks up public listings on the web using your profile location and a topic inferred from resume job titles. We may save those public event listings and reuse them for a later search with the same criteria. That cache is for event results, not your resume file.

Retention and deletion

We keep your account and saved work while the account is active. In the app you can remove master resumes and saved applications. To delete your account and remaining data, email info@maeleedev.com. We will take reasonable steps to delete what we hold, except where we must keep records (for example, a payment record) or where data is not tied to your account, such as cached public event listings. Copies in backups may remain for a limited time until those backups cycle out.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information: the site is served over HTTPS, you sign in to use the application studio, resume files are stored in private storage, and database rules are set so users generally only access their own records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Use a unique password and keep your login to yourself.

Your choices

You can review and update profile information in the app, and delete resumes and saved applications you no longer want stored. You can email info@maeleedev.com to ask for access, a correction, or deletion of remaining account data. We will respond in a reasonable time.

Cookies and similar storage

We use cookies needed to keep you signed in (Supabase Auth). Your light/dark theme preference is stored in the browser. We do not add advertising or third-party analytics cookies. Stripe may set its own cookies on the checkout page. You can block cookies in your browser; the app will not stay signed in without session cookies.

Children

Open Door AI is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. The version on this page is the current one. Continued use of Open Door AI after a change means the current policy applies.
